The Huawei Mate X2 is priced at CNY 17,999 (approx Rs 2.01 lakh) for the 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM/ 512GB storage model costs CNY 18,999 (approx Rs 2,12 lakh).
Sales will start in China from February 25. The company also announced a bunch of accessories like a car mount, leather sleeve, and protective covers.
The new handset comes in Bright Black, Ice Crystal Blue, Ice Crystal Powder, and White Glaze color options. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.

The Huawei Mate X2 is powered by an octa-core Kirin 9000 processor along with Mali-G78 GPU and 8GB RAM. It is backed by a 4,500Ah battery that supports 55W fast charging.
The 256GB/ 512GB internal storage can be further expanded (up to 256GB) via Huawei’s Nano Memory card.
In terms of optics, the foldable phone sports a quad rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor (f/1.9, OIS support), a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2), a 12MP telephoto lens (f/2.4, OIS), and an 8MP super zoom camera (f/4.4 aperture, OIS, 10x optical zoom).
For selfies and video calling, the Huawei Mate X2 features a single 16MP front camera (f/2.2). It is housed in a pill-shaped hole-punch cutout (looks like dual selfie cameras).

The Huawei Mate X2 runs Android 10 OS with EMUI 11.0 on top. It comes with 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port as connectivity options.
Sensors on the device include a gravity sensor, Infrared (IR) sensor, barometer, gyroscope, compass, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Design and Display
In terms of dimensions, the Huawei Mate X2 measures 161.8 x 145.8 x 8.2mm and weighs 295 grams. When folded, it measures 161.8 x 74.6 x 14.7mm.
The dual-SIM (nano) smartphone features an entirely different folding mechanism compared to its predecessor. Instead of folding outwards to expose the main screen, it folds inwards (similar to Galaxy Fold models).
The Huawei Mate X2 features a 6.45-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1,160 x 2,700 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and pixel density of 456ppi.
When unfolded, the handset offers an 8.0-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,200 x 2,480 pixels, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and a pixel density of 413ppi.
