The Vaio Z (2021) comes with a starting price of $3,579 (approx Rs 2,59,900) for the 16GB RAM/ 512GB storage variant. The 16GB RAM/ 1TB storage model costs $3,779 (approx Rs 2,74,400).
The 16GB RAM/ 2TB storage and the top-end 32GB RAM/ 2TB storage variants are priced at $3,979 (approx Rs 2,88,900) and $4,179 (approx Rs 3,03,400), respectively.
The flagship laptop is now available for pre-orders in the US. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price tag and launch date.
Alongside the regular model, the company has also announced the Vaio Z (2021) Signature Edition with a carbon fiber texture.

The Vaio Z (2021) is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor along with Intel Iris Xe graphics, up to 32GB LPDDR4 RAM, and up to 2TB PCIe SSD storage.
The new laptop comes with the company’s proprietary Vaio TruePerformance technology that is said to boost CPU power limits alongside controlling heat emission.
The Vaio Z (2021) is touted to last up to 10 hours on a single charge. The battery supports up to 65W fast charging via the bundled AC adapter.

The Vaio Z (2021) runs Windows 10 Pro OS. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The laptop comes with Windows Hello facial recognition technology for easy sign-in. It also features a fingerprint sensor that allows you to login without entering a password.
In terms of audio, the company has added stereo speakers and Dolby Audio sound on the Vaio Z (2021).

Design and Display
The Vaio Z (2021) comes with a contoured carbon fiber build and lightweight design. It weighs around one kilogram.
The stylish laptop features a multi-touch supporting touchpad and an inclined backlit keyboard with a 1.5mm key pitch stroke. It also sports a built-in webcam with a physical camera shutter.
The 14-inch Ultra-HD 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) display comes with HDR support. The company claims that the screen can be opened and closed with one hand (without touching the palm rest).
Additionally, the display lid can open up to 180 degrees. Once opened, users can also rotate the screen by pressing the Fn + 2 key.
