The new tablet is a toned-down version of the Huawei MatePad Pro 5G (launched in November 2019). It comes in multiple colors and RAM/ storage options.

The highlights of the Huawei MatePad include the company’s Kirin 810 SoC and a single 8MP rear camera. However, unlike its Pro variant, it does not come with 5G support.
Additional features include M-Pencil stylus support (not included inside the box). Let’s take a closer look:

The Huawei MatePad is powered by a Huawei Kirin 810 processor and up to 6GB RAM. It is backed by a 7,250mAh battery.
The 64GB/ 128GB internal storage can be further expanded (up to 512GB) via a dedicated microSD card slot.
In terms of the optics, the new tablet sports an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and flash. It also features an 8MP camera on the front.

The Huawei MatePad runs the Android 10 operating system with EMUI 10.1 on top. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, and a USB Type-C port.
The new tablet features a 10.4-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. It features a hole-punch design and thin bezels.
In terms of dimensions, the Huawei MatePad measures 245.2 x 154.96 x 7.35mm and weighs around 450 grams. It comes in Fritillary White and Night Ash color options.
Sensors on the device include an ambient light sensor, color temperature sensor, compass, gravity sensor, and hall sensor.

The Huawei MatePad WiFi model is priced at CNY 1,899 (approx Rs 20,420) for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB stoarge varaint. The 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage costs CNY 2,199 (approx Rs 23,640).
The LTE + Wi-Fi model (with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage) comes with a price tag of CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 26,870). As of now, there is no information about the Indian price or launch date.
The Huawei MatePad Pro was launched with a starting price of CNY 3,299 (approx Rs 33,600) for Wi-Fi only model. The price of the LTE model starts at CNY 3,799 (approx Rs 38,700).
