The Huawei Nova 5 is priced in China at CNY 2,799 (approx Rs 28,100). It comes in Bright Black, Midsummer Purple, and Forest Green color options. Sales begin from July 20. It will be available for pre-bookings from July 13.

The Huawei Nova 5 Pro price starts at CNY 2,999 (approx Rs 30,100) for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB internal storage variant. It comes in Bright Black, Midsummer Purple, Coral Orange, and Forest Green color options.

While the standard 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage model costs CNY 3,399 (approx Rs 34,100), the limited edition verison is priced at CNY 3,799 (approx Rs 38,100).

On the other hand, the Huawei Nova 5i is priced at CNY 1,999 (approx Rs 20,100) for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage model comes with a price tag of CNY 2,199 (approx Rs 22,100). It comes in Magic Night Black, Honey Red, and Blue color options.

The Huawei Nova 5i (alongside the Nova 5 Pro and Nova 5 Pro limited edition) is now available for pre-bookings. Sales will start in China on June 28. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.

Specifications and Features

The new Huawei Nova 5 series includes four devices – Huawei Nova 5i, Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro, and Nova 5 Pro special edition. The Nova 5i sports a plastic body with a punch-hole display design. It 159.1 x 75.9 x 8.3mm and weighs 178 grams.

Both the Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro sport a slim body with curved edges, glass back (with 3D lighting effect), and a waterdrop-shaped notch. Both devices measure 157.4 x 74.8 x 7.33mm and weigh 171 grams. The limited-edition Nova 5 Pro features slight design tweaks and comes with bundled Freelace wireless headphones.

Both handsets sport a 6.39-inch OLED display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, DC dimming support, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The 3,500mAh battery comes with 40W fast charging support.

While the Huawei Nova 5 is powered by an octa-core Kirin 810 processor, the Nova 5 Pro comes with an octa-core Kirin 980 SoC. Both devices come with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB).

The quad-camera set up (on the back) uses a 48-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture), a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2 aperture), a 2-megapixel 4cm f/2.4 macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor (f/2.4 aperture).

The 32-megapixel selfie camera comes with f/2.0 aperture, AI HDR+ support, and a night mode. Connectivity options include 4G LTE. Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C port.

The dual-SIM smartphones run Android 9 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.1.1 on top. However, only the Nova 5 Pro comes with NFC support.

The new smartphone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. It is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710F processor and up to 8GB RAM. The 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card slot (up to 512GB).

The quad camera set up on the back houses a 24-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel 4cm macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The 24-megapixel selfie camera comes with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Huawei Nova 5i runs Android 9 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.1 on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, and a USB Type-C port.

The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 6.4-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2310 pixels) resolution. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back.
