Huawei P40, P40 Pro, P40 Pro Premium Edition Details Leaked – Here’s All We Know

The Huawei P40 series will be launched at an online event on March 26. As of now, there is no information about the price.

“We’re excited to bring you the next chapter of visionary photography at our upcoming online launch,” the company said in the post on Twitter.

The Huawei P40 is tipped to be priced at CNY 3,988 (approx Rs 42,000) for the 64GB variant.

The 128GB storage and 256GB storage variants are said to cost CNY 4,288 (approx Rs 46,000) and CNY 4,788 (approx Rs 51,000) respectively.

On the other hand, the Huawei P40 Pro is expected to come with a starting price tag of CNY 5,488 (approx Rs 58,600) for the 128GB storage variant.

Alongside the P40 and P40 Pro models, the Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition (P40 Pro+) variant is also expected to be launched.

As per recent leaks and rumors, the upcoming flagship smartphones will feature a 6.57-inch 2K AMOLED display with DCI-P3 and HDR support.

Huawei P40 Pro

The Huawei P40 is tipped to sport an ‘Advanced Horizontal Display’ with a pill-shaped cut-out for selfie cameras. It will use Leica optics.

Both the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro will be powered by a Kirin 990 5G chipset. The HarmonyOS (Huawei’s in-house OS) is not coming to smartphones yet.

Richard Yu (head of Huawei’s consumer division) has confirmed that the upcoming smartphone will run the Android 10-based EMUI 10 coupled with Huawei Mobile Services.

Google apps (Chrome, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Google Photos, Google Play Services, etc) will be replaced by Huawei’s alternatives. The Chinese brand will have to lure app developers to enrich its alternative app store.

Huawei P40 Pro

The Huawei P40 Pro is expected to sport a quad-camera setup with a 52MP Sony IMX686 sensor (1/1.33-inch, f/1.3, 2.24 microns pixel size), a 20MP ultrawide sensor, a macro camera, and a 3D ToF unit.

The periscope-style camera module is said to feature a rectangular lens and will bring 10x optical zoom support.

The new smartphone will include both mirror and prism structures for an extended field of view. The Quad Bayer 16in-1 technology will help to deliver quality pictures and videos in extreme night scene environments.

On the front, it is tipped to feature a 6.5-inch to 6.7-inch pill-shaped dual hole-punch display (curved on all four sides).

Additional features will include an in-display fingerprint sensor, 5G support, dual-SIM, USB Type-C port, an IR blaster, and a microphone.

Both the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro will come in five color options – Black, Blush Gold, Silver Frost, Deep Sea Blue, and Ice White.

Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition

The premium variant is tipped to sport a Penta-lens camera setup on the back and a dual selfie camera ( pill-shaped) on the front.

The Penta-camera setup will include a 52MP Sony IMX686 sensor (1/1.33-inch, f/1.3, 2.24 microns pixel size), a 20MP ultrawide sensor, a macro camera, and a 3D ToF unit.

Additionally, a redesigned 12MP periscope telephoto lens ( Leica VARIO-SUMMILUX-H 1:1.8-4.0/18-240 equivalence ASPH lens, f/4.0) will integrate a 10x optical zoom lens.

Huawei P40 Pro+

The Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition will sport a ceramic finish in black and white. It will also feature metal edges and the USB Type-C port.

Conclusion

The Huawei Nova 6 SE comes with a price tag of CNY 2,199 (approx Rs 22,300). It comes in Black, Green, and Snow Clear Sky color options.

The new smartphone is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 810 processor along with Mali-G52 GPU and 8GB RAM. It is backed by a 4,200mAh battery.

The Huawei Nova 6 SE sports a 6.4-inch display with Full-HD+ (1080 x 2310 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio.

In terms of optics, the new smartphone sports a quad-camera setup on the back. It uses a 48MP primary sensor (f/1.8), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.

For selfies and video calling, the Nova 6 SE sports a 16MP front camera sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Android 10 comes with EMUI 10.0.1 on top. Connectivity options 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C port.
