Lava Iris 444 Launched At Rs. 3,199: Specs & Features

Domestic handset maker Lava has launched its new budget smartphone Lava Iris 444 in the Indian market. As far as specifications of the dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) phone are concerned, the Iris 444 is powered by single-core Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1 GHz paired with 256 MB of RAM and Mali-400 GPU. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat and features a 4 inch WVGA TFT display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Iris 444 sports a 2 mega pixel camera on the rear with LED flash while there is also a 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera onboard.

On storage front, there is 512 MB of inbuilt memory which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. It packs a 1400 mAh battery which is claimed to deliver up to 12 hours of talk time on 2G networks. Connectivity options on the handset include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPRS/ EDGE and Micro-USB. The Iris 444 measures 123 x 63.2 x 11 mm, weighs 116 grams and is listed in dual tone Black and Blue color option on e-commerce websites.

Lava also launched its Iris 414 smartphone earlier this month for Rs. 4,049. The device is powered by a 1 GHz single-core processor and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system. It features a 4 inch WVGA TFT display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution pixel resolution. There is 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of inbuilt storage on the handset. The handset comes with expansion slot and the internal memory is capable of expandability up to 32 GB via microSD card. Other specs of the Iris 414 include 3.2 mega pixel rear camera, 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera and a 1400 mAh battery.

The Lava Iris 444 is now available to buy online through e-commerce websites for Rs. 3,199. We expect the company to make an official announcement about the handset soon.
