The Lenovo S5 is priced in China at CNY 999 (approx Rs 10,300) for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB internal storage variant. While the 3GB RAM/ 64GB storage model comes with a price tag of CNY 1,199 (approx Rs 12,400), the 4GB RAM/ 128GB model is available at CNY 1,499 (approx Rs 15,400). Sales start from March 23.

The new handset sports a 5.7-inch IPS display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) resolution and 2.D curved glass. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor. The internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). It is backed by a 3000mAh battery that delivers 10W fast charging.

In terms of optics, the Lenovo S5 sports a dual rear camera setup on the back. It uses two 13-megapixel sensors with autofocus an f/2.2 aperture, and a dual color temperature flash. The 16-megapixel fixed focus front camera comes with a f/2.2 aperture lens and 80.2-degree wide-angle lens.

The dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone runs Android Oreo operating system with ZUI 3.7 on top. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The new handset measures 154 x 73.5 x 7.8mm and weighs around 155 grams. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back (unlocks the smartphone in 0.09 seconds). Additional sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. All three models come in Black and Red color options.
