Moto G6 Launched In India With 18:9 Max Vision Display

Lenovo-owned Motorola launched its Moto G6 in India, along with the Moto G6 Play. The launch event was in New Delhi, 4th June 2018. Both the smartphones had their global launch in April. There is a third model also (G6 Plus) which hasn’t been launched in India yet.

Moto G6 Launched In India With 18:9 Max Vision Display

The handset has an 18:9 display, called Max Vision display. It uses IPS panels. The Google Lens integration has been equipped with the smartphone’ camera. It has landmark recognition and smart text selection.

Moto G6 Price

Moto G6 Indian price starts at Rs. 13,999 (3GB RAM+32GB storage variant) till Rs. 15,999 (4GB RAM+64GB storage).

In this budget segment, the smartphone will be competing with Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1. The smartphone will be sold in Indigo and Silver color variants. It will be available exclusively on Amazon India, and Moto Hub stores.

Moto G6 Specifications

Moto G6 is a dual-Nano SIM-supported handset. It runs Android 8.0 Oreo. The smartphone is built with a 5.7-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) Max Vision IPS display. Moto G6 is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC. It is clocked till 1.8GHz. It is also equipped with Adreno 506 GPU, and 3GB or 4GB RAM.

In the camera department, the handset sports a dual-rear camera setup. It is equipped with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with a f/1.8 aperture. According to the company, the handset supports slow-motion video recording. It also has a Bokeh depth-of-field Portrait Mode, a Text Scanner mode, and a Spot Color mode. Up front, the handset will sport a 16-megapixel sensor. It provides a beautification mode and a group selfie mode. Both the modules have Face Filters feature.

The Moto G6 will be sold in two variants, expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (dual-band, 2.4GHz, and 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Its sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. It also has a fingerprint reader. The smartphone measures 154.5×72.4×8.3mm weighs 167 grams and is powered by a 3000mAh battery that’s coupled with a TurboPower charger in-the-box.
