Lenovo-owned Motorola launched its Moto G6 Play in India, along with the Moto G6. The launch event was in New Delhi, 4th June 2018. Both the smartphones had their global launch in April. There is a third model also (G6 Plus) which hasn’t been launched in India yet.
The handset has an 18:9 display, called Max Vision display. It uses IPS panels. The Google Lens integration has been equipped with the smartphone’ camera. It has landmark recognition and smart text selection.
Moto G6 Play Price
The Moto G6 Play is priced at Rs. 11,999 in a single available variant (3GB RAM+32GB storage). In this budget range, the handset will be challenging Redmi Note 5 in the smartphone market. It will be sold in Gold and Indigo color variants. It is being sold exclusively via Flipkart and Moto Hub stores.
Moto G6 Play Specifications
Moto G6 Play is a dual-Nano SIM-supported smartphone. It runs Android 8.0 Oreo. The smartphone is built with a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) Max Vision IPS display. Moto G6 Play is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC. It is clocked up to 1.4GHz. The smartphone is paired with Adreno 505 CPU and 3GB RAM.
In the camera development, the handset has a single rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel sensor with a f/2.0 aperture lens. Up front, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel sensor with an 80-degree wide-angle lens and a f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone has 32GB internal storage. It is expandable via microSD card (till 128GB).
In terms of connectivity, the Moto G6 Play supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone’s sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. In terms of power, the smartphone is powered by a 4000mAh battery with a TurboPower charger. The handset measures 154.4×72.2×8.95mm and weigh in 173 grams.
