The Moto P30 is priced in China at CNY 2,099 (approx Rs 21,400) for the 64GB internal storage variant. The 128GB storage model comes with a price tag of CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 25,400). Sales start on September 15.

As of now, there is no information about the launch date and price of the upcoming smartphone.

The Moto P30 sports a 6.2-inch IPS LCD display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2246 pixels) resolution and an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and 6GB RAM. The internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.

In terms of optics, the new handset features a dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 16-megapixel primary rear OV16B sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a secondary 5-megapixel OV5675 sensor (f/2.2 aperture). Camera features include PDAF, and dual-tone LED flash. The 12-megapixel front camera comes with f/2.0 aperture, double-sided AI blur, and AR capabilities.

The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system with custom ZUI 4.0 skin on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0 LE, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Moto P30 measures 155.5 x 75.95 x 7.69mm and weighs around 170 grams. It comes in Aurora Blue, Black, and White color options. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear panel.

Conclusion

The new mid-range smartphone is essentially an iPhone X-lookalike with 18.7:9 display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC. Apparently, the new Moto P30 has been ‘designed for China’.
