Motorola has launched its Motorola Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4 smartphones in the Indian market. While the former is now available to buy in the country, the latter will go on sale next month.

Design

The Moto G4 Plus features a plastic body with rounded frame and a textured back cover with good grip. The Galaxy J7 2016 features plastic back with brushed metal finish and metal frame along the edges. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 features a stunning unibody metal design.

Display

Motorola Moto G4 Plus and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 feature 5.5-inch full HD displays with 1080p resolution. The Moto G4 comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection against scratches. The Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 packs a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 1280×720 pixels resolution.

Moto G4 Plus and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 come in two variants based on RAM and storage: one with 2GB RAM+16GB storage and the other with 3GB RAM+32GB storage. Both variants of both the phones support expandable storage via microSD card. The Galaxy J7 2016 houses 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB via micoSD card.

Verdict

The Galaxy J7 2016 is the most expensive smartphone in this comparison. It offers a unique S Bike mode, yet on spec-sheet, it lacks behind in display, RAM and rear camera department. It also lacks fingerprint sensor which is offered by the other two smartphones. The specifications and features of Moto G4 Plus and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 are closely matched, but the price of Moto G4 Plus for the similar specs that Redmi Note 3 offers, is nearly Rs. 3,000 more. All the three smartphones in this comparison offer impressive specs, but Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 does so at the least possible price.
