Motorola has finally launched the P50 smartphone in China this week. It is essentially a rebranded version of the Motorola One Vision smartphone. The Motorola P50 is priced in China at CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 25,000). It comes in two color options – Brown Gradient and Sapphire Gradient. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price or launch date.

The new handset is powered by a 2.2GHz Exynos 9609 octa-core processor and 4GB RAM. The 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card slot (up to 512GB).

In terms of optics, the Motorola P50 sports a dual camera set up on the back. It combines a 48-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.7 aperture) with a 5-megapixel secondary sensor (f/2.2 aperture). Camera features include 8x digital zoom, portrait mode, manual mode, cinemagraph, panorama, active display mode, Auto HDR, and a dual-LED flash.

For selfies and video calling, the new smartphone sports a 25-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The 3,500mAh battery comes with TurboPower fast charging support. It is claimed to offer up to 7 hours of power in just 15 minutes of charging.

The Motorola P50 runs Android 9 Pie operating system. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v5, NFC, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The dual-SIM (hybrid) smartphone sports a punch-hole display design with a glossy gradient finished panel. It features a 6.3-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2520 pixels) resolution and 21:9 CinemaVision aspect ratio.

The handset measures 160.1 x 71.2 x 8.7mm and weighs 181 grams. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back. Other sensors on the device include an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, compass, and magnetometer.
