HMD Global has launched its Android Go smartphone in India. The new Nokia 1 is the company’s first smartphone with Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition). Price and Availability
The Nokia 1 is priced in India at Rs 5,499. It is now available across offline stores in the country. The new handset comes in Dark Blue and Warm Red color options. However, you can get Azure and Grey or Yellow and Pink covers. The Xpress On covers are priced at Rs 450 and will be available from next month.
As part of launch offers, the Reliance Jio is offering a cashback offer worth Rs 2,200. This makes the effective price of Nokia 1 to be Rs 3,299. Additionally, the company is offering 60GB data on the network and 20 percent discount on the first booking ride via RedBus. Users will also be eligible for a 12-month Accidental Damage Insurance by Servify (on opening the Kotak 811 savings account).

The Nokia 1 sports a 4.5-inch IPS display with FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor and 1GB RAM. The 8GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB).
In terms of optics, the new smartphone features a 5-megapixel rear camera with a fixed focus lens and an LED flash. There is also a 2-megapixel front fixed focus camera for selfies. The 2150mAh battery offers up to 9 hours of talk time and up to 15 days of standby time.
