HMD Global has launched a 4GB RAM variant of its Nokia 6 smartphone in the Indian market. However, the new handset is not the 2018 version (recently announced in China). The Nokia 6 4GB RAM variant will be exclusively available in India via Flipkart from Tuesday, February 20. It is priced at Rs 16,999. As part of the launch offers, users can also avail an exchange discount of Rs 2,000. The 3GB RAM variant is priced in the country at Rs 14,999.

The mid-range smartphone sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with full HD (1080p) resolution, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor and 4GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). It is backed by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging support.
In terms of optics, the new smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF (phase detection autofocus system), 1.0um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, and a dual-tone LED flash. The 8-megapixel front camera comes with a 1.12-pixel size, f/2.0 aperture, and 84-degree wide-angle lens.

The Nokia 6 (2018) runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. The company promises an upgrade to Android 8.0 Oreo). Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, NFC, Micro-USB, OTG support, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The dual speakers are supported by Dolby Atmos audio.
The dual-SIM smartphone sports an aluminum-based metal unibody design. It measures 154 x 75.8 x 7.85mm and comes in Matte Black color option. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
Last month, HMD Global has announced the successor of it’s Nokia 6 smartphone in China. The Nokia 6 (2018) comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 630 SoC, and a 16-megapixel rear camera. The company has also added its Dual-Sight technology. The ‘Bothie’ feature is quite popular among Nokia users. It also comes in two storage variants.
