HMD Global has finally launched its Nokia 6.1 Plus smartphone in India. The rebranded Nokia X6 is an upgraded version of the recently launched Nokia X5. Price and Availability
The Nokia 6.1 Plus is priced in India at Rs 15,999. It will be available from August 30 via Flipkart and the Nokia online store. The Chinese variant is priced at CNY1,299 (approx Rs 13,800).

The Nokia 6.1 Plus sports a 5.8-inch display with Full HD+ resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, and a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and 4GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a micro SD card (up to 400GB).
In terms of optics, the Nokia smartphone sports a dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 16MP primary sensor (with f/2.0 aperture) and 5MP secondary sensor (with f/2.4 aperture). The 16MP front camera comes with f/2.0 aperture. AI features include optimized color contrast, depth of field, portrait lighting effects, HDR support and a Bothie mode.
The new handset is backed by a 3,060mAh battery.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. The Android One smartphone offers an optimized Android experience and will receive timely version updates. It comes with Face Unlock support. Sensors on the device include a Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Compass/ Magnetometer, and Gyroscope.
The dual-SIM smartphone includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port as connectivity options. It measures 147.20 x 70.98 x 8.59mm and weighs 151 grams.
The new smartphone is part of the Google Android One program. However, unlike other Android One smartphones, the Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with a large RAM and competent configuration.
