Design

Both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T have the same design. Both smartphones flaunt their anodised aluminium metal unibody design. They also pack a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button for additional security. Coming to the color options, the OnePlus 3T comes in Gunmetal and Soft Gold color variants while the OnePlus 3 comes in Graphite and Soft Gold color options.

 Display

The OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T feature a 5.5-inch full HD Optic AMOLED display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The screen is protected against scratches by 2.5D Curved Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Camera

Both smartphones sport a 16 mega pixel primary camera on the back with with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, EIS 2.0, PDAF, OIS, Sony IMX298 sensor and 4K video recording. There is however a difference in the front camera. While the OnePlus 3 comes with an 8 mega pixel front shooter, the OnePlus 3T has an improved 16 mega pixel secondary camera. The front-facing camera of the OnePlus 3T comes with /2.0 aperture, PDAF, Samsung 3P8SP sensor and 1.0 micron pixel size.

Processor & RAM

The OnePlus 3 packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor while the OnePlus 3T comes with a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor. Both are paired with Adreno 530 GPU and 6GB of RAM. While the OnePlus 3 comes in 64GB variant, the 3T comes in two variants-64GB and 128GB.

Battery

OnePlus 3 packs is fueled by a 3000mAh battery while OnePlus 3T packs a larger 3400mAh battery. Both smartphones support Dash Charge technology.

Price

The OnePlus 3T will go on sale via Amazon India starting December 14, 2016. It comes in Gunmetal and Soft Gold color options. The 64GB variant of 3T carries a price tag of Rs. 29,999 while the 128GB Gunmetal variant costs Rs. 34,999. The 64GB Soft Gold variant will be available later. The OnePlus 3 is available in India for Rs. 27,999.

Verdict

OnePlus 3T is apparently, an incremental version of the OnePlus 3. Although both smartphones have a lot of similarities, yet the 3T proves itself to be a step ahead in few departments. It  offers faster a faster chipset, bigger battery, improved front camera and more storage compared to the OnePlus 3.
