The LG G6 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. While the OnePlus 5 and LG G6 are backed by a 3,300mAh battery, the Galaxy S8 comes with a 3,000mAh battery. The OnePlus 5 sports a more advanced processor and offers a larger RAM option too.
On the camera front, the OnePlus 5 and LG G6 sport a dual camera setup at the back. The OnePlus 5 combines a 16-megapixel main camera (Sony IMX398 sensor, 1.12-micron pixels, f/1.7 aperture) with a 20-megapixel telephoto camera (Sony IMX350 sensor, 1-micron pixels, f/2.6 aperture). Camera features include 2x optical zoom, a dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording with EIS. It also sports a 16-megapixel front camera.
Whereas the LG G6 combines two 13-megapixel sensors (f/1.8 aperture + 125-degree wide-angle lens with f/2.4 aperture). Camera features include 4K video recording and a LED flash. It also features a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S8 sports a single 12-megapixel ‘Dual Pixel’ rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a f/1.7 aperture. It also features an 8-megapixel front camera. Does OnePlus 5 offer better image quality than the Galaxy S8? We will have to wait and see.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 5 resembles the iPhone 7 Plus. It is made from anodized aluminum. The LG G6 is slightly heavier than the OnePlus 5 at 163g. It comes with IP68 certification too. Both smartphones feature dual camera setup on the back. While OnePlus moves the rear camera towards the top left corner, the camera setup takes a top center position on the LG G6. Also, the LG G6 places its fingerprint sensor on the back, unlike OnePlus which integrates it with the Home button.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S8 sports a unique design with 18.5:9 display aspect ratio. The all-glass design gives the Galaxy S8 a flashier look than the OnePlus 5.
