The Oppo Ace 2 is priced in China at CNY 3,999 (approx Rs 43,200) for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant.

While the 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage model costs CNY 4,399 (approx Rs 47,500), the 12GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant comes with a price tag of (approx Rs 49,700).

Sales will start in China on April 20. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.

The new smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor along with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage.

The 4,000mAh battery comes with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge and 40W Air VOOC wireless fast charging support.

Cameras

On the back, Oppo Ace 2 sports a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor (f/1.7 aperture), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2), 2MP portrait sensor, and a 2MP monochrome lens (f/2.4).

For selfies and video calling, the new handset sports a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.4 aperture. It is placed in a hole-punch cut out on the top left of the screen.

The Oppo Ace 2 runs the Android 10 operating system with ColorOS 7.1 on top. Connectivity options include 5G (SA/NSA), Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth v5.1, and USB Type-C port.

The dual-SIM smartphone measures 160 x 75.4 x 8.6mm and weighs 185 grams. It comes in Aurora Silver, Moon Rock Grey, and Fantasy Purple color options.

The 6.5-inch AMOLED display comes with Full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) resolution, 402ppi pixel density, 90Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Additional features on the device include an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and Dolby Atmos support.

Conclusion

The new handset is the successor of the Oppo Reno Ace (launched last year). Now, the company has decided to ditch the ‘Reno’ branding from the device.
