Oppo R15, R15 Dream Mirror Edition Launched In China – All You Need To Know

Oppo has launched two new smartphones in the Chinese market. Previously, the Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Mirror Edition were expected to be launched on 31st March. The new R15 uses a glass back (instead of a metal unibody design). The OPPO R15 Dream Mirror comes in a Red and Ceramic Dark (with a special screen design) versions. Price and Availability

The Oppo R15 is priced in China at will start at 2999 yuan (approx Rs 30,655). It comes in White, Red, and Purple colour options. While the Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Red version is available at 3299 yuan (approx Rs 33,721), the Ceramic Dark Dream Mirror version comes with a price tag of 3499 yuan (approx Rs 35,766). Sales start from April 1st. As of now, there is no information about an Indian price or launch date.

The Oppo R15 sports a 6.28-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2280pixels) and a 19:9 aspect ratio. It also features a notch on the top (similar to the iPhone X). The new handset has a screen-to-body ratio of 90%. It is powered by a 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor along with a Mali G72MP3 GPU and 6GB RAM. The 128GB internal storage can be further expanded by via a microSD card (up to 256GB).

In terms of optics, the Oppo R15 sports a dual-camera setup on the back that combines a 16MP primary sensor with a 5MP secondary sensor. Camera features include 3D portrait lighting, dual camera bokeh, HDR and EIS video stabilization, and AI smart scene recognition. The 20MP front camera comes with AI Smart Beauty feature.

The new smartphone is backed by a 3450mAh battery with VOOC flash charge. The company claims that the new handset can get up to 2 hours of talk time with just a 5-minute charge. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with ColorOS 5.0 on top. Additional features include a fingerprint sensor (on the back).

Oppo R15 Dream Mirror Edition

The R15 Dream Mirror Edition sports mostly similar features as the Oppo R15. However, it is powered by a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor and Adreno 512 GPU. The dual camera setup (on the back) combines uses a Sony IMX519 16MP primary sensor and a 20MP resolution secondary sensor. It is backed by a 3400mAh battery.
