Oppo sub-brand Realme launched its first smartphone Realme 1 in India on 15th May 2018. The smartphone is aimed at the Indian youth. it is for e-commerce channels. Amazon India is the strategic partner for the launch of this device.
Realme 1 is very similar to the designs of the recent Oppo phones, even though it doesn’t have the iPhone X-like display notch.
The device is for mid-budget range category, and its siblings will also be between Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000 price range. According to the company, the device is a ‘Made in India’ product.
Realme 1 Specifications
The smartphone is dual-SIM supported. It runs ColorOS 5.0-based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It is an India-specific phone. The device has a 6-inch Full HD+ display at 1080×2160 pixels. It also has an 84.75% screen-to-body-ratio.
It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 SoC, clocked up to 2GHz. The device is backed with 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM based on the variant. It also has a dual-core AI-specific chip.
In the camera department, the phone sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash. It also has an 8MP front camera. The camera uses Oppo’s AI Beauty 2.0 feature, which offers 296-point facial recognition. It also provides Face Unlock. It doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner. The smartphone will come with 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB of inbuilt storage based on variants. It is expandable by a microSD slot. The phone supports 4G VoLTE and is powered by a 3,410mAh battery.
Realme 1 Price
The device starts at Rs. 8,990 for the 3GB RAM variant. It goes till Rs. 10,990 for the 4GB RAM variant. The 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 13,990. The smartphone will be available in Diamond Blac, Moonlight Silver, and Solar Red colour models.
