Twitter has announced a new pinned conversations feature for its Direct Messages (DM). It allows users to pin chats to the top of their inboxes (including a group chat).
The new features work on the iOS, Android, and Web versions of the micro-blogging platform. Previously, it was only part of Twitter Blue.
Twitter states that you can now pin up to six conversations at the top of their DM inbox. Pinning a chat moves it into a separate section called Pinned conversations.
How To Pin Conversations In Twitter DMs
- Open the Twitter app on your phone.
- Now, go to your DM folder and find the conversation you want to pin to the top.
- Then, swipe right to reveal the pin on the left.
- Now tap the pin.
- That’s it!
Note: Tapping the share button to send a tweet via DM will not show pinned conversations at the top. You will see the chronological order of chats.
Pinned conversations are a common feature found in most social media apps and chatting platforms. It’s high time Twitter got around to integrating this in their app. The new feature will help users to find important messages easily for daily chats.
