According to online listings, the Samsung A2 Core is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor (based on 14nm manufacturing process) along with Mali-T830 MP1 GPU and 1GB RAM. The 8GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). It is backed by a 2,600mAh battery.

In terms of design, the entry-level handset features massive front bezels. It measures 141.6 x 71 x 9.1mm and weighs 142 grams. The new smartphone will be available in two color options – Black and Blue.

The Samsung A2 Core runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system (Android Go edition-based). Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, Micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack

The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 5.0-inch display with qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution. On the back, it features a 5-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and a LED flash. For selfies and video calling, the handset comes with a 5-megapixel front camera.
