The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus was launched at an introductory price of Rs 64,900 (the phone’s MRP being Rs 69,000). However, the new Galaxy S8 Plus variant is priced at Rs 74,990. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S8 price in India starts from Rs 57,900. The huge difference in price ends the comparison for a lot of customers. Both smartphones are powered by 2.3GHz octa-core 64-bit Exynos 8895 processor and 4GB RAM/64GB storage. However, the new Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus variant comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Both handsets run Android Nougat OS with TouchWiz on top. Bixby voice assistant is also present on both devices.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus comes with a larger battery. It is backed by a 3500mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8 comes with a 3,000 mAh battery. Both devices support fast charging and wireless charging.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus look almost identical and offer same camera capabilities. The only major difference is size and battery. However, the larger battery only compensates for a larger display. However, if the new variant offers more RAM and internal storage. If you are already spending a large amount of money for the flagship device, it’s better to go with the better package offered by the new Galaxy S8 Plus variant.
