Samsung has launched two new wearables in the Indian market – the Gear Fit2 Pro and Gear Sport. The new wearables were announced at the IFA 2017 in August. While the Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro is priced in India at Rs 13,590, the Samsung Gear Sport comes with a price tag of Rs 22,990. Both wearables will be available in December.
Both the Gear Fit 2 Pro and Gear Sport are powered by a 1.0-GHz dual-core processor and 4GB internal storage. While the Gear Sport comes with 768MB RAM, the Gear Fit2 Pro is supported by 512MB RAM. Both wearables come with MIL-STD-810G certification (water resistant to 5ATM).
Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro
The Gear Fit2 Pro sports a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 216 x 432 pixels. The display panel also doubles up as a secondary screen for viewing maps and activity statistics. You can also respond to messages with preset replies and emoticon library. The smart fitness band offers provides real-time updates and notifications.
Samsung Gear Sport
The Gear Sport features a circular 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a rotating bezel UI and a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. It is backed by a 300mAh battery that can be charged wirelessly.

The new wearables run Tizen OS. Connectivity options for the new devices include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Additionally, the Gear Fit2 Pro and Gear Sport come with heart rate sensors and built-in GPS.
An auto activity detection can recognize activities like walking, running, cycling, etc. Samsung has also partnered with Under Armour and Speedo to offer support for Under Armour Record, MyFitnessPal, MapMyRun, and Endomondo apps.
