The new Sony camera is touted as the “world’s smallest and lightest Full-frame camera system with SEL2860 Zoom Lens.” It is aimed at vloggers and video creators.

The Sony Alpha 7CIt can record 4K videos with low noise. Additional features include AI-driven real-time tracking and eye-autofocus.

There is also a touch screen LCD display that can swivel and has improved sensitivity. Let’s take a closer look:

The new camera sports a 24.2 megapixel 35mm full-frame (35.6×23.8mm) Exmor R CMOS sensor and a BIONZ X image processor.

The Sony Alpha 7C comes with an ISO range of 100 to 51200. It also comes with Fast Hybrid AF (auto-focus), phase-detection, 1200-zone evaluative metering, and long exposure noise reduction.

Sony claims that the full-frame camera can take pictures in JPEG and record videos in RAW (Sony ARW 2.3 format). In 3:2 aspect ratio, it can take images of up to 6,000×4,000 pixels.

The new camera comes with a Dynamic Range Optimiser and Auto High Dynamic Range features. It also offers a variety of image quality modes like RAW (compressed/ uncompressed), JPEG (Extra fine/ Fine/ Standard), RAW, and JPEG.

The Sony Alpha 7C sports a 3.0-inch TFT touchscreen with a resolution of 9,21,600 dots and swivel functionality. It measures 124 x 71 x 59mm and weighs 509 grams.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.1, a 3.5mm jack, FTP transfer functionality (through Wi-Fi, NFC) and USB Type-C SuperSpeed USB 5 GBps (USB 3.2) compatibility.

The new camera is backed by an NP-FZ100 rechargeable battery that can last for around 680 shots with the viewfinder and 740 shots with the LCD monitor. It allows you to record 140 minutes of video on a single charge.

The Sony Alpha 7C has a 3:2 aspect ratio. It is compatible with SD memory card, SDHC memory card (UHS-I/II compliant) and SDXC memory card (UHS-I/II compliant).

Additionallt, the full-fram camera comes with a variety of display functions like histogram, digital level gauge, real-time image-adjustment display, grid line, and focus check.

Price and Availability

Price (body-only)Rs 1,67,990

The Sony Alpha 7C is priced in India at Rs 1,67,990 for the body only. It is available for purchase via all Sony Centers, Alpha Flagship stores, ShopatSC.com, and major electronic stores.

With a new SEL2860 lens kit, the new full-fram camera comes with a price tag of Rs 1,96,990. The new lens will be available separately from January next year.
