Indian DTH service provider Tata Sky and Netflix announced a strategic partnership on 24th April 2018. The Tata Sky and Netflix partnership will enable subscribers to have access to Netflix’s entire content library through Tata Sky’s future platforms.
According to rumors, it is to be believed that Indian telecommunications operator Reliance Jio is all set to take the television and broadcast sector by storm. Online publication TelecomTalk has reported that the company is planning to launch its new JioHome TV service. It will be a modified version of the Jio Broadcast app, which was recently tested for streaming HD content on some devices. The report also stated that JioHome TV will offer SD (Standard Definition) channels for a monthly price of Rs. 200 and SD+HD (High Definition) channels for Rs. 400 per month.
