Multiple renders of the upcoming handsets have surfaced online. However, there is no information about its price tag and launch date.

As per recent leaks and teasers, TCL is coming up with a new take on the phone-tablet hybrid form factor. It will feature a unique slide-out display.

The upcoming handset looks like a regular phone with curved sides and a dual hole-punch design. On the back, the new device features a vertically-aligned quad-camera setup.

For the slide-out mechanism, the TCL smartphone is said to use a disjointed frame design.

The extended display is folded and tucked beneath the main display. It can be pulled out to use the device as a tablet.

The display panel doesn’t appear to have any crease. The extended display is protected by a similar slide-out cover at the back with a matching color tone.

There is no information about the specifications of the upcoming smartphone. However, there will be four rear cameras and dual selfie cameras.

Conclusion

Last year, the electronics brand launched the TCL Plex at EUR 329 (approx Rs 26,000).

The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor and 6G RAM. The 128GB internal storage can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB).

The TCL Plex features a 6.53-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back.

The smartphone is backed by a 3,820mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

TCL Plex

On the back, the new smartphone sports a triple camera set up with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor (f/1.8 aperture, 0.8-microns pixel size, 79-degree field of view).

It also includes a 16-megapixel Samsung S5K3P9 sensor (f/2.4 aperture, 1-micron pixels, 123-degree field of view), and a 2-megapixel OmniVision OV02K sensor (f/1.8 aperture, 2.9-micron pixels, 77-degree field of view).

On the front, the TCL handset sports a 24-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 0.9-micron pixels, and a 78.2-degree field of view.
