The mid-range smartphone sports a 5.5-inch display with HD resolution (720 x 1280pixels). It is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor and 4GB RAM. The new handset measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.55mm and weighs 154.00 grams. Sensors on the device include compass magnetometer, proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope.

On the camera front, the Vivo V5s sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash. It also sports a 20-megapixel sensor, with front flash, for selfies and video calling. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB).

The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with FunTouch OS 3.0 on top. It is backed by a 3000mAh non-removable battery. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and FM radio.

The Vivo V5s was originally launched in April this year at Rs 18,990. In July, it’s price was slashed to Rs 17,990. Now, the Vivo V5s has received a permanent price cut in India. The new price will help the Chinese brand to compete with its competitors like Xiaomi and Oppo. Recently, Xiaomi also announced a price on its Mi A1 smartphone. It is now available at Rs 13,999.
