The Vivo Y93 is expected to be launched in China on November 15. It is tipped to come with a price tag of 1,598 Yuan (approx Rs 16,800).

Two variants of a new Vivo smartphone (V1818A and V1818T) have been spotted on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and TENAA (the Chinese telecom authority) websites. Another listing of the Vivo V1818A handset revealed that the upcoming handset will be launched as Vivo Y93.

According to recent listings, the mid-range smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage (expandable via a micro SD card). It will be backed by a 3,935mAh battery.

The Vivo Y93 sports a 6.2-inch display with HD+ resolution (720 x 1520 pixels) and a waterdrop notch. It comes in Zixia Red and Starry Night Black color options. The new handset runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. The handset is likely to come with a Face Unlock feature.

In terms of optics, the upcoming handset will sport a dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 13-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel secondary sensor. There is also an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.

Vivo Y83 Specifications

Vivo Y83 is a dual-SIM supported smartphone. It runs FunTouch OS 4.0 on top of Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The smartphone is built with a 6.22-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) FullView 2.0 IPS display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It has a display notch with an 88% screen-to-body ratio.

The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 SoC paired with 4GB RAM. The 32GB inbuilt storage is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). The smartphone is equipped with a 3260mAh battery.

In terms of optics, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with an LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. Up front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with Face Access. The camera has AI Face beauty, portrait mode, live photo, and group selfie.

Additional features include Face Access, Smart split, Game Mode 2.0, app clone, and a rear fingerprint scanner.

Conclusion

Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 439 mobile platform along with Snapdragon 429 and Snapdragon 632 in June this year. While the Honor 8C and Meizu Note 8 are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset, the other two SoCs are yet to arrive. The Snapdragon 439 octa-core process is based on the 14nm process and includes Adreno 505 GPU. It features four 1.9GHz Cortex A53 cores and four 1.45GHz Cortex A53 cores.
