Vivo has launched a new dual camera smartphone in the Chinese market. The new Vivo Z3 features a waterdrop display and comes in three variants. You can choose a model based on processor too – Snapdragon 670 or Snapdragon 710. Price (starting price) CNY 1,598 (approx Rs 16,900)

The Vivo Z3 is priced in China at CNY 1,598 (approx Rs 16,900) for the Snapdragon 670 variant (with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage). The Snapdragon 710 model costs CNY 1,898 (approx Rs 20,100) and CNY 2,298 (approx Rs 24,400) for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage options, respectively.

All three variants are now available through Vivo’s online store. As of now, there is no information about the Indian launch date or price.

The new handset comes in two models. The Vivo Z3 V1813B is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor and 4GB RAM. Whereas the Vivo Z3 V1813DA model comes with a Snapdragon 710 processor and 6GB RAM. The 64GB/ 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). The new smartphone is backed by a 3315mAh battery.

In terms of optics, the Vivo Z3 sports a dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 16-megapixel primary sensor (f/2.0 aperture) with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor ( f/2.4 aperture). The 12-megapixel front camera comes with dual pixel sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The artificial intelligence (AI) based features adjust lighting and enhance self-portrait shots.

The Vivo Z3 runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Funtouch OS on top. It also comes with the Jovi smart voice assistant (similar to recent Vivo smartphones). Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB along with OTG support, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.3-inch display along with full-HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels), 19:9 aspect ratio and a 90.3% screen-to-body ratio. It measures 155.97 x 75.63 x 8.1mm. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back. Additionally, the Face Unlock feature on the device can detect 1,204 facial features via an infrared light to unlock the screen.
