Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus is known for its mid-ranged smartphones packed with high-end specs. It isn’t easy for a new manufacturer to carve a space for itself. But OnePlus has been doing most things right to grab attention of millions of people around the world. With a few stunning phones already in its portfolio, the company is now reportedly working on its next flagship smartphone, called the OnePlus 5.
You must be wondering that, with company’s last launches being OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T, its forthcoming flagship should be called OnePlus 4. Well, what rumors say, is that OnePlus is skipping the OnePlus 4 altogether as number ‘4’ is considered unlucky in China..
Coming to leaked specifications and features, as per Koreanportal.com, the OnePlus 5 will feature a dual-edge curved display like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. On the camera front, the smartphone will sport a 23 mega pixel rear camera and a 16 mega pixel front facing camera for capturing selfies and making video calls. It will house 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal memory. The handset will also support expandable storage via microSD card. It will run Android 7.0 Nougat operating system wrapped under OxygenOS UI.
Equipped with a 4000mAh battery, the phone will support Dash charge technology for fast charging. Under the hood, it is likely to to pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. On design front, the device is rumored to feature ceramic body like Xiaomi Mi Mix. As for chipset, the phone is said to pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor under the hood.
