The Oppo R17 is priced in China at 3499 yuan (approx Rs 35,600). It will go on sale from August 31 via the official Oppo website. However, the official launch event will take place on August 23. As of now, there is yet no information about an Indian launch date or price.

The Oppo R17 sports a 6.4-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor along with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage (expandable via a microSD). The new processor is built on the 10nm process. It comes with the Qualcomm Kryo 360 CPU, Qualcomm Spectra 250 dual-cam ISP, Qualcomm AI Engine, Adreno 615 GPU and Snapdragon X12 LTE modem.
In terms of optics, the Oppo R17 sports a dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 16MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a 5MP secondary sensor. The 25MP front camera comes with Sony IMX576 sensor and a f/2.0 aperture.
The 3,500mAh battery supports the company’s own VOOC charging technology. Users can get two hours of talk time with just five minutes of charge.

The dual-SIM device runs Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with ColorOS 5.2 on top. It can perform multiple AI-centric tasks including image enhancement and scene detection. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type C.
The Oppo R17 comes in two color options – Twilight Blue and Starry Purple. However, the gradient changes depending on the viewing angle.
