Xiaomi has taken the wraps off its first ‘Made In India’ smartphone, dubbed the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime. Xiaomi has manufactured the device with Foxconn at the Vishakhapatnam facility in Andhra Pradesh, India.
The Redmi 2 Prime is upgraded version of Redmi 2 and was launched in China first, as Redmi 2 Limited Edition. As for specifications, it is powered by a 64-bit 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor paired with Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The handset runs Android 4.4 Kitkat wrapped under MIUI 6 and features a 4.7-inch IPS display with 1280×720 pixels resolution and AGC Dragontrail Glass protection.
