The Fossil Sport smartwatch is priced in India at Rs 17,995. It was originally launched in November 2018. The new smartwatch is available across the country via both online and offline channels (including major retailers and Fossil stores).

The new wearable is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC. It runs Google’s Wear OS. The company claims that the smartwatch offers more than a day’s battery life. In a low power mode, the battery can extend up to two days.
The Fossil Sport smartwatch features a round display dial. It is available in two case sizes (41mm and 43mm) and supports interchangeable watch straps (18mm and 22mm respectively).
The Wear OS smartwatch is compatible with Android or iOS smartphones. Connectivity options include Bluetooth and GPS. Additional features include a heart rate sensor, altimeter, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, and a microphone.

Google launched the Wear OS (as Android Wear) as it’s a united platform for smartwatches and other wearable devices. It was soon taken over by the Samsung’s Tizen-based Galaxy Gear series and Apple Watch series.
The Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC consists of quad-core A7 processors, an integrated DSP, and an ultra-low power co-processor QCC1110. The tiny co-processor is optimized for ultra-low power operation. It also integrates a deep learning engine for custom workloads, such as keyword detection.
Fossil is one of the few brands to bring Wear OS products in India. It will go against the Samsung Gear lineup. We will have to wait and see how it performs in the Indian market.
