Garmin Enduro Smartwatch Launched With Solar Charging Support

The Garmin Enduro is aimed at athletes and fitness enthusiasts. It comes with GPS support and a solar charging lens (said to extend battery life by up to 65 days).

The multisport smartwatch comes with customizable power management modes, VO2 Max (for tracking cardiovascular fitness levels), a pulse oximetry sensor, and a heart rate monitor.

Additionally, you can send/ receive messages and share your location by connecting to a Garmin inReach Mini satellite communication device. Let’s take a closer look:

The Garmin Enduro comes with proprietary features like VO2 Max and ClimbPro for enhanced training. A Mounting Biking feature tracks mountain biking sessions along with grit and flow measurements.

The new smartwatch also comes with an optical heart rate technology, pulse oximetry sensor, an altimeter, barometer, and a 3-axis electronic compass. It allows you to track your rest times by selecting the Ultrarun activity.

Along with Recommended Workouts, the company has added a Recovery mode that uses sleep and wellness data to advise users about how long they should rest before beginning another workout.

Connectivity

The Garmin Enduro can be paired with your smartphone through the Garmin Connect app. It is compatible with both Android and iPhone devices.

The smartwatch includes support for global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) to offer GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo connectivity.

Design

The smartwatch comes with a 10ATM water-resistant design. While the steel variant weighs 72 grams, the titanium model only weighs 58 grams.

In terms of dimensions, the Garmin Enduro measures 51 x 51 x 14.9mm. It is compatible with 26mm wrist bands.

The new wearable features a 1.4-inch sunlight-visible, transflective memory-in-pixel (MIP) display with a resolution of 280 x 280 pixels.

Battery

The highlight of the Garmin Enduro is a solar charging lens called Power Glass. It allows you to extend the battery life up to 65 days.

The company claims that the new smartwatch can last up to 70 hours (in GPS mode) on a single charge. However, solar capabilities can extend the usage time to 80 hours.

The Garmin Enduro also comes with an inbuilt Battery Saver Watch Mode that can allow the smartwatch to last up to one year.

Price and Availability

Price (starting)$799.99 (approx Rs 58,300)

The Garmin Enduro is priced at $799.99 (approx Rs 58,300) for the steel variant. The titanium version costs $899.99 (approx Rs 65,600).

The new smartwatch is now available in the US through the Garmin website. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.
