Gionee has unveiled two new mid-range smartphones in China, called the M7 and M7 Power. Both new smartphones feature FullView Displays with 18:9 aspect ratio. The Gionee M7 is priced in China at CNY 2,799 (approx Rs 27,500). Whereas the Gionee M7 Power will be available from Saturday at CNY 1,999 (approx Rs 20,000). As of now, there is no information about an Indian launch or price.

Gionee M7
The Gionee M7 features a 6.01-inch FullView AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio, and 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P30 processor and 6GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB). It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with the company’s Amigo OS 5.0 skin on top.
On the camera front, the Gionee M7 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, and a LED flash. The new handset also features an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS, and NFC. The dual SIM smartphone measures 157 x 76 x 7.2mm and weighs 180 grams. It is backed by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. A fingerprint scanner is placed at the back.

Gionee M7 Power
The Gionee M7 Power features a 6.0-inch FullView display with a resolution of 720 x 1440pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB). It runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with Amigo OS 5.0 on top.
On the camera front, the Gionee M7 Power sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus system (PDAF), f/2.0 aperture, and a LED flash. It also features an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. The dual-SIM smartphone is backed by a huge 5000mAh battery with fast charging support. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back.

Conclusion
The new mid-range smartphones offer decent specs in stylish chassis. While the Gionee M7 comes in four color options (Black, Champagne Gold, Sapphire Blue, Star Blue, and Maple Red), the Gionee M7 Power will be available in three color options (Blue, Black, and Gold). We will have to wait for these devices to hit the Indian market.
