Price Rs 12,999

The Gionee X1s smartphone is priced in India at Rs 12,999. It will be available from September 21 in retail stores across the country.

As part of launch offer, Airtel customers will get up to 10GB additional data per month for up to 6 successive recharges of 1GB or more. Additionally, customers will get two Patym cashback voucher codes with Rs 250 cashback on a minimum purchase of Rs 350 on Paytm Mall.

The Gionee X1s sports a larger 5.2-inch IPS display (5.0-inch on X1) with HD (720 x 1280pixels) resolution. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor and 3GB RAM. The 16GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). The new Gionee X1s is backed by a larger 4000mAh battery (compared to the 3000mAh battery on the X1).

The new handset also receives upgrades on the camera front. The new Gionee X1S sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front camera. Both cameras come with a LED flash. Additional features include Beautified Video and Face Beauty 2.0. The Gionee X1 features 8-megapixel camera on the front and back.

The new smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with Amigo 4.0 on top. The dual SIM smartphone features 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB port as connectivity options. Sensors on the device include a Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

In terms of design, the new Gionee X1s looks identical to the X1. However, a new rear speaker grille has been added on the bottom side. It measures 150.4 x 73.5 x 8.8mm and weighs 166 grams. The new smartphone comes in Black and Gold color options.
