Huawei sub-brand Honor recently launched its new handset Honor Play in China. The device is built with a 6.3-inch display. The display has a 19:5:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, it also has a notch. The gadget is equipped with a HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC. It has up to 6GB RAM. The phone also has GPU Turbo technology.

Honor Play provides 4D gaming experience. It comes with real-time recognition of the game scene. This vibrates the phone to match the game. According to the company, the handset will boost performance when a game being played is detected. It also runs EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1.

Honor Play Price And Availability

The smartphone is being sold for CNY 1,999 (Rs. 21,000 approximately) for its 4GB RAM variant. The 6GB RAM variant is being sold for CNY 2,399 (Rs. 25,100 approximately). Both the smartphones are available for pre-order right now. It will start being sold in China from 11th June 2018. The Honor Play is available in Black, Violet, and Blue color options.

Honor Play Specifications

Honor Play is a dual-Nano SIM supported smartphone. It runs EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1. It is built with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels). The display has an 85% NTSC color gamut. Honor Play is powered by an octa-core Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC with Mali-G72 GPU. It also has a built-in NPU. The device is available in 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM models.

In the camera department, the smartphone is equipped with a dual-rear camera module. The camera has AI features. The dual setup consists of a 16-megapixel primary lens with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF. It also has a 2-megapixel secondary lens with f/2.4 aperture. Up front, the handset sports a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. It comes with f/2.0 aperture.

Regarding storage, the smartphone is built with 64GB internal storage. It is expandable via microSD (till 256GB). In terms of connectivity, the device supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB Type-C. Its sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. Honor Play is also powered by a 3750mAh battery with fast charging support.
