The search engine giant has upgraded its AI assistant for Android and iOS devices. It will now be able to read out stories. This includes classic bedtime stories like Sleeping Beauty and Little Red Riding Hood. Other titles include ‘Blaze and the Monster Machines’, ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, etc.
The new feature is now available to users in India, US, UK, Canada, and Australia. However, as of now, it only reads out stories in the English language. Also, the selection of supported books is limited for now.
The new update comes with a ‘read along’ feature. Also, the Google Assistant automatically plays sound effects as you read from a number of Disney Little Golden Books.

This feature was initially introduced in 2018. However, it was only available on Google Home. Whereas, when asked for a story, the Google Assistant would come up with a short inspirational quote or a joke.
