The Huawei Maimang 7 is priced in China at CNY 2,399 (approx Rs 25,300). Currently, it is up for pre-orders. Sales start on September 15. As of now, there is no information about the Indian launch date or price.

The Huawei Maimang 7 is powered by an octa-core Kirin 710 processor (based on a 12nm process) along with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU, and 6GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via micro SD card (up to 256GB). It is backed by a 3750mAh battery with fast charging support.

On the back, the vertically stacked dual camera setup (with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash) combines a 20-megapixel primary sensor with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. The front camera setup (with f/2.0 aperture) uses a 24-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

The Huawei Maimang 7 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with EMUI 8.2 OS on top. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C port.

The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 6.3-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, 2.5D curved glass protection and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It sports a display notch in the front and a fingerprint sensor in the back.

Additional features include Google AR Core support and AI scene recognition. The new handset comes in Bright Black, Charm Blue, and Platinum Gold color options. It measures 158.3 x 75.3 x 7.6mm and weighs 172 grams.

Conclusion

The mid-range smartphone device comes ahead of the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, which are expected to be unveiled on October 16. Both smartphones will come with Kirin 980 SoC and AI features. Earlier the company introduced its Huawei Mate 10 Lite which also comes with four cameras, HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC, and 19.5:9 display with a notch. It is priced at GBP 379 (approx Rs 34,800).
