The Huawei Mate 40E is priced at CNY 4,599 (approx Rs 51,500) for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage model comes at CNY 5,099 (approx Rs 57,100).

The new handset will go on sale in China from March 18. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price tag and launch date.

The Huawei Mate 40E is backed by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 990E processor along with Mali-G76 GPU, 8GB RAM, and 128GB/ 256GB internal storage.

In terms of optics, the smartphone features a triple rear camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.9 aperture), a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2), and an 8MP telephoto lens (f/2.4).

For selfies and video calling, the Huawei Mate 40E sports a 13-megapixel front camera (f/2.4). It is backed by a 4,200mAh battery that supports up to 40W fast charging, 40W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging.

The dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone features measures 158.6 x 72.5 x 8.8mm and weighs 188 grams. It comes in Bright Black, Glaze White, and Secret Silver color options.

The 6.5-inch OLED display with Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,376 pixels) resolution, up to 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 19.8:9 aspect ratio. The curved screen also features a hole-punch cutout.

Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, a proximity sensor, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The new smartphone is essentially a tweaked version of the Huawei Mate 40 that was launched in October last year.

The Huawei Mate 40E is the fifth model in the Mate 40 series (after the Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and the Mate 40 RS Porsche Design).
