The LG Watch W7 is priced in the US at $449.99 (approx Rs 33,200). It will be available for pre-orders from October 7. Sales slated on October 14. As of now, there is no information about an Indian launch date or price.

The LG Watch W7 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor along with 768MB LPDDR3 RAM and 4GB eMMC storage. It runs Wear OS by Google. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 BLE. and USB Type-C 2.0 port.

The hybrid smartwatch is backed by a 240mAh battery that can last up to two days in full operation mode and further an additional 3-4 days in analog-only mode. LG claims that the mechanical watch-only mode (with smart features disabled) offers up to 100 days od usage. Sensors on the wearable include a 9-axis sensor and a pressure sensor.

In terms of dimensions, the hybrid smartwatch measures 44.5 x 45.4 x 12.9mm and weighs 79.5 grams. It sports a stainless steel body and comes with IP68 certification (water and dust resistant). The new smartwatch features ‘high-precision quartz movement.’ It is compatible with all standard 22mm watch bands. 

The LG Watch W7 sports a 1.2-inch LCD display with a pixel density of 300ppi and a resolution of 360 x 360pixels. The watch hands blend with the LCD screen to help display information. Additionally, the mechanical hands also display details such as an altimeter, barometer, stopwatch, timer, and compass directions.

The LG Watch W7 is the company’s first wearable to run new Google Wear OS. It has been developed in partnership with Soprod SA of Switzerland. The hybrid smartwatch is designed to seamlessly merge analog and digital elements. The analog setup ensures long battery life and accurate time tracking.

The new wearable is aimed at users who want ‘the look of a traditional analog timepiece but desire the convenient functionalities of a connected smartwatch.‘ It was originally expected to be launched in April this year as LG Watch Timepiece.
