Following the footsteps of Xiaomi, Oppo and OnePlus, another Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu has made its debut in the Indian market. Meizu has launched its M1 Note smartphone in India. The handset is available to buy exclusively from Amazon India for Rs. 11,999. It will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Mi 4i and Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML). Processor & RAM
The Meizu M1 Note is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, Xiaomi Mi 4i is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. The Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML) packs a Intel Atom Z3560 processor. All the handsets pack 2GB of RAM.
Operating System
Xiaomi Mi 4i and Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML) run Android 5.0 Lollipop wrapped under their respective users. Meizu M1 Note runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system with Flyme 4.0 UI.
Display
Meizu M1 Note and Xiaomi Mi 4i feature 5.5-inch and 5-inch full HD displays with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML) on the other hand, comes with a 5.5-inch HD display with lower resolution of 1280×720 pixels.
Camera
All the three phones sport a 13 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera.
Storage
This round is a tie again since all three phones house 16GB of inbuilt storage. Meizu M1 Note and Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML) come with expandablity support via microSD card and Xiaomi Mi 4i does not offer expandable storage support.
Battery & Connectivity
Meizu M1 Note packs a larger 3140mAh battery followed by Mi 4i with 3120mAh battery and lastly the Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML) with 3000 mAh battery.
On connectivity front, all three phones offer 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options.
Price
Meizu M1 Note carries lowest price tag of Rs. 11,999. The other two phones are priced higher at Rs. 12,999.
Verdict
All three smartphones match closely in specifications. Xiaomi Mi 4i packs a smaller display and missed out on expandable storage support. Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML) sports display with lower resolution. Thus, Meizu M1 Note besides its lower price tag packs great features and is a value for money device.
