Recent Mi Max 3 Leak

The recent Mi Max 3 leak was revealed by SlashLeaks. The back of the handset is shown. It will have a matte back panel with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. A dual-rear camera module with LED flash is also there.

One of the images shows a huge battery pack. It could be of 5400mAh capacity.

According to a TENAA listing, the smartphone will sport a 6.9-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.

The handset will also probably be powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC. It will be backed with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. Storage will be expandable via microSD card. A dual-rear camera module will also be there along with a 5400mAh battery.

On 27th June 2018, a listing appeared on Xiaomi’s website. It displayed the key specs of the phone. There were also images. The pricing was also revealed. According to the Mi Max 3 leak screenshot obtained by MySmartPrice, the handset’s 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant will be sold for 1699 yuan (around Rs. 17,500). A cheaper model might also be there.

It has been revealed by IT Home that Xiaomi’s AI assistant Xiao AI has confirmed that the handset will be launched on 3rd July 2018.

People expected the Mi Max 3 launch to happen in May 2018, as its predecessor was launched in May 2017. The CEO mentioned it in a comment reply that the smartphone is not ready yet, and the Mi Max 3 launch will happen sometime in July 2018.

Earlier speculations suggested that the Mi Max 3 launch is expected to start from CNY 1,699. In Indian currency, it is approximately Rs. 17,400. Rumors speculate that the device will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC. There is a probability that the handset might have a Snapdragon 630 SoC also. In the battery department, the handset is said to be powered y a 5500mAh pack. It is also said to be built with a 6.99-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio.

The device is expected to support wireless charging. It is said to run on Android 8.1 Oreo. It could either a Sony IMX363 sensor or a Samsung S5K217+S5K5E8 dual camera setup. For the selfie shooter, it can have an S5K4H7 Samsung sensor. It also could have an Omnivision 2281 iris scanner.

The company also recently launched its Redmi 6 Pro along with Mi Pad 4 in China, on 24th June 2018. The handset sports a 5.84-inch display with a 19:9 aspect ratio.
