As the smartphone has been listed on the website, it could mean that it could get Android One for markets in India. In China, the Mi 6X will run MIUI as Google services are banned there. Earlier the Mi 5X was sold in India as Mi A1. The Mi A1 was also Xiaomi’s first Android One smartphone.
Xiaomi hasn’t made anything official about it yet, but it is quite obvious that the Chinese company has plans to make more Android One smartphones.
If the Mi A2 actually comes into India, then it will be put in a tough competition for other smartphones in its budget category. The Xiaomi Mi 6X is expected to be 6-inches. It is predicted that the smartphone will use at least FullHD resolution. According to Google Android listing, the smartphone will be sold in two variants. A 32GB RAM version and a 64GB RAM version.
As seen from the earlier images which the company had shared, the smartphone will sport a dual-camera module on the back. It will most probably use a 20-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor. The front camera is expected to use a 20-megapixel sensor. The Xiaomi Mi 6X will also be backed by a 2,910mAh battery.
There is no official information regarding the India launch date yet. It is being speculated that it will be launched in May in India.
In China, the smartphone will launch on 25th April 2018.
Xiaomi has become a game-changer in the Indian smartphone market. Within its budget range, it is stamped its authority and is the leader. Even though, the company is facing some new challenges, like the recently launched Nokia 6. The Nokia 6 has proved to be an able competitor as its uses capable hardware and runs Android One. Even the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 is being seen as a serious contender and might just turn the stakes in the favor of Asus. It will be sold exclusively via Flipkart and could go an inch better than the Redmi Note 5 Pro. It also comes at an affordable price of Rs. 10,999. The Xiaomi Mi 6X (or Mi A2) is expected to be priced under Rs. 18,000.
