Price and Availability
The Oppo F5 Youth is priced at India at Rs 16,990. It will be available via both offline and online stores. The new handset was launched in Philipines at PHP 13,990 (approx Rs 17,900).

The Oppo F5 Youth sports a wide 6.0-inch LTPS TFT display with full-HD+ resolution (1080 x 2160pixels) and an 18:9 aspect ratio (the F5 features an AMOLED display). It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P23 processor and 3GB RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be expanded via a micro SD card (up to 256GB). The new handset is also backed by a 3200mAh battery.
The new smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with a f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash. The 16-megapixel front camera comes with a f/2.0 aperture. The Oppo 5 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 20-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The new variant also uses advanced AI camera capability (seen on the Oppo F5) to capture better selfies.

In terms of the design, the new handset looks similar to the original device. The Oppo F5 Youth also sports thin bezels and a metal unibody design. It measures 156.5 x 76 x 7.5mm and weighs 152 grams. The new handset is available in two color options – Black, and Gold.
The new handset runs Android 7.1 Nougat operating system with Color OS 3.2 on top. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, USB OTG support, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Additional features include a Face ID technology (similar to the new iPhone X). OPPO claims that the facial unlock feature will work within 0.4 seconds. Users will also be able to choose other unlocking methods such as fingerprint scanner, password, and pattern unlock. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, G-sensor, digital compass, and a proximity sensor.
