Price and Availability

The Oppo Find Z is expected to be unveiled sometime next month. It is tipped to arrive in June this year. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and handset of the Oppo smartphone.

Previously, it was expected to be called Oppo Find X2 or Oppo Find X II. It has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking site with the codename ‘Poseidon.’ The company is expected to launch its foldable smartphone and a 5G compatible smartphone at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2019) in Barcelona.

According to recent leaks and rumors, the upcoming handset is tipped to sport 10x hybrid optical zoom (powered by a periscope-style lens placement) with variable aperture camera technology (seen on the R17 Pro). It will come with support for night mode. There will also be a TOF (Time of Flight) sensor for 3D mapping and full body frame adjustment. The company might go for display hole design (instead of the slider mechanism).

Additionally, the Oppo Find Z will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. It will feature a new in-display fingerprint scanner technology. It will cover more scanning area than the existing scanners. Along with faster recognition, the handset might be the first device to support two-finger unlocking. There might not be a Face Unlock feature.

In the power department, the upcoming smartphone will support for SuperVOOC charging (uses a 50W power adapter). It might also include support for wireless charging. The Oppo Find Z is likely to run Android 9 Pie operating system with the company’s own ColorOS 6 custom interface on top. Connectivity options will include 5G support.

The Oppo Find X was launched last year with a motorized camera setup (25-megapixel selfie cam). The dual-rear camera module uses a 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor along with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.

The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based Colour OS. It is backed by a 3,730mAh battery which supports VOOC fast charging. The handset sports a 6.4-inch full-HD+ display.
