Lava Iris 405 Dual Core CPU Android Smartphone Launched At Rs.7,499

Lava, the Indian electronics manufacturer has just launched the Iris 405 which is the latest member of the Iris series from the home grown smartphone manufacturer. The Iris 405 has a 4 inch capacitive display which has resolution of 800×480 pixels which shall be just adequate for a screen this size. The company has priced the smartphone quite competitively and it will be sold for Rs.7,499.

The smartphone has its heart as a 1GHz dual core processor which will be a Mediatek unit. The smartphone launches with the latest version of Android, 4.1 Jelly Bean and it is quite nice to see that as smartphones in that price segment usually run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The device comes with a 5 megapixel rear shooter and a VGA front snapper and the device gets a decent camera unit for the price it commands.

Intex i-Buddy Connect Launched For A Price Of Rs.9,990

We recently brought to you the news of Spice launching its first calling tablet and joining it will be the Intex i-buddy connect tablet which is a dual SIM tablet and offers calling functionality. It has been launched at a price of Rs.9,990 and the specifications of the device are such that they make the Spice Slatepad seem overpriced by a big margin as the Intex offering has the same pricing as the Spice Slatepad but offers way more in terms of functionality and features.

Intex i-buddy has dual SIM slot and one of them will support 3G connectivity while the other one will support 2G connectivity. It will feature voice calling as well. It is a 7 inch tablet and it runs on a slightly older version of Android, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich when most of the companies are shifting to Jelly Bean. The tablet will support 5 touches at one point and powering the device will be a 1GHz dual core processor which will team up with a 1GB RAM.

Samsung Galaxy Win And Galaxy Fame Launched- Video Review And Details

Even though Samsung has not officially launched the Galaxy Win and Galaxy Fame devices in India, the pricing details seem to have leaked and our friends back at Fone Arena have just come up with launch prices of these devices. Spice Slatepad 3G Tablet With Calling Feature Launched Under Rs. 10,000

The budget tablets are steadily moving towards being budget tablets with 2G GSM calling functionality and joining the party is the Spice Slatepad. This the the first calling tablet from the company and it has been launched by the company through its website. The budget tablet has a 7 inch screen which has a display resolution of 1024×600 pixels. The Slatepad has been launched at a price of Rs.9,999 which is slightly more compared with the tablets with similar specs from other Indian manufacturers.

The tablet has a 1GHz single core processor powering it and the processor is supplemented with a 512 MB RAM. Android Jelly Bean 4.3 In Progress, 5.0 May Join Later Than Expected

Android 5.0 which has been read number of times on the forums dubbed by the name Key Lime Pie is still not ready for release at this Google I/O 2013. Android Police reported that they have found some server logs which indicate that Google is working on Jelly Bean again.

Jelly Bean was announced by Google last summer at the Google I/O 2012 with Nexus 7 and Nexus Q and with the Nexus 4 they announced another update to Jelly Bean with a version upgrade to 4.2.2. As per these server logs, this time it will be Jelly Bean Android 4.3 for both smartphone as well as tablet. There has been traces within the logs, indicating various devices running Android 4.3 build JWR23B including Nexus 4 and Nexus 7. Furthermore, the IP addresses of these devices were tracked back to the Google Campus.
