Price and Availability

The Redmi Note 9 will be unveiled on April 30 at an online event. As of now, there is no information about its price tag.

Xiaomi is also expected to announce the Redmi Note 9 Pro for the global market. The Redmi Note 9 is likely to be launched in China as the Redmi 10X.

The Chinese brand will also launch several other products (likely to be a new Router and Mi TV Stick).

As per recent leaks and listings, the Redmi Note 9 will be powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor and up to 6GB LPPDDR4x RAM.

The 64GB/ 128GB UFS 2.1 storage can be further expanded (up to 512GB) via a micro SD card. The 5,020mAh battery is said to support 18W fast charging.

Cameras

In terms of optics, the Redmi Note 9 will sport a quad rear camera set up with a 48MP primary sensor (PDAF, EIS, 0.8μm pixel size), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.

For selfies and video calling, the upcoming handset is said to come with a 13MP front camera (housed in a hole-punch cutout).

The Redmi Note 9 is likely to run the Android 10 operating system with MIUI 11 on top.

Connectivity options will include a dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, FM radio, and a 3.5mm audio jack,.

The dual-SIM smartphone is said to sport a 6.53-inch display with full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The Redmi Note 9 is expected to come in Sky Blue, Green, and White color options. It will measure 162.38 x 77.2 x 8.95mm and weigh 205 grams.

Sensors on the device will include a fingerprint sensor, IR sensor, compass, ambient light sensor, and an accelerometer.
