Samsung Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ Launched In India; Built With Infinity Display Design

South Korean multinational conglomerate Samsung launched its Galaxy A6 and A6+ in India, on 21st May 2018. The Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6+ have been built with the company’s flagship Infinity Display design.

The smartphones run on Android Oreo out-of-the-box. They are equipped with Super AMOLED display panels. They are also available in three color options (Blue, Black, and Gold). The Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6+ also have AI-powered camera features.

Samsung Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ Prices

The Galaxy A6’s 32GB variant will be sold for Rs. 21,990, and its 64GB variant will be for Rs. 22,990. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A6+ has been placed at a price of Rs. 25,990.

They will be available from 22nd May 2018 onwards via offline Samsung retail outlets, Samsung India E-Store, Paytm Mall and Amazon India.

Samsung Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A6 is a dual-Nano SIM smartphone. It runs Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung Experience on top. The smartphone is built with a 5.6-inch HD+ (720×1480 pixels) Super AMOLED panel with Samsung’s Infinity Display design. It also has an aspect ratio of 18:5:9. The device is built with a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7 series SoC, backed with 4GB RAM.

The Galaxy A6 also sports a 16-megapixel rear camera sensor with a f/1.7 aperture. Its front camera is a 16-megapixel sensor with a f/1.9 aperture. Both the cameras are equipped with an LED flash. The handset also has a new default camera app that is facilitated with Live Bokeh and Background Blur Shape.

The phone has 32GB and 64GB internal storage options. Both are expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). The device also supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro-USB. The device also has a rear-fingerprint sensor. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.

The Galaxy A6+ is a dual-Nano SIM device. It runs Samsung Experience on top of Android 8.0 Oreo. It is built with a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2220 pixels) Super AMOLED panel built on the company’s Infinity Display design. Furthermore, it has an 18:5:9 aspect ratio. The device is further powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC backed with 4GB RAM.

In the camera department, the phone has a dual-rear camera module. It is equipped with a 16MP primary sensor with a f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor with a f/1.9 aperture. The device is furthermore built with a 24MP front camera sensor with a f/1.9 aperture. Moreover, both the cameras are built with LED flash. It has the new camera app with many features.

The A6+ is built with 64GB internal storage. Moreover, it is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). The phone supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS/A-GPS and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The device also has a rear-facing fingerprint reader. It is backed by a 3,500mAh battery.
